Via this item our intent is to inform the current status of Solberg-Hunterdon Airport across the multiyear timeline since the 1997 Master Plan. Also the New Jersey State Airport System Plan (SASP) is discussed to correlate the State’s desire for airport expansion with the Airport Sponsors desire.
Both the January 1997 Draft Master Plan and 1997 Airport Layout Plan (ALP) are available for download in the event you want to take a deep dive into the expansion plans of that era as a baseline for what to expect in the 2024 Master Plan update. Go to the 1997 tab for these documents.
As we all await information from the Airport Sponsors regarding the extent of their expansion plans please continue to express your concerns to your municipal bodies (Readington and Branchburg) as well as State Legislators. Opposition to any airport expansion is crucial to establishing public opposition.
